Chinese Aurora Effect

There are two videos that have surfaced regarding the earthquake in China on May 12th, 2008 that show a strange aurora effect in the sky. One is 30 minutes prior to the earthquake and the second is 10 minutes prior to the earthquake. Could this aurora effect be related to the HAARP system? I think its possible. What i think happened is the charged particles and intense amount of energy that was focused in that area by the HAARP system refracted light coming in from the sun causing this Aurora effect.
